Rummage Sale Every year Epiphany has its own "March Madness" in the form of our annual Rummage Sale, sponsored by the Women of Epiphany. The sale is W.O.E's. major fundraiser with half the proceeds benefiting the parish and half financing outreach projects in the community.
Past rummage sale profits provided funds for (among others):
Help is always needed for the event, usually held on the last Friday/Saturday of March but in 2006 will be held on March 31 and April 1, starting about about a month before. What's needed?
Donations! Furniture, appliances, household articles, clothing (no shoes, please), books, toys, Christmas items, jewelry...anything that you can spare that someone else might value. Transportation of items We need people with trucks or trailers to transport items. We need people with willing hands and strong backs to move items out of people's houses and/or into the church.
Organizing, preparation and pricing The stuff that comes in the door needs to be sorted, cleaned/dusted/repaired, and get a price sticker. Dozens of volunteers are needed the weeks before the sale to get it all ready. You can work during the day or in the evening as your schedule permits.
Sale Days On Friday and Saturday, the sale days, there are all sorts of jobs that need doing:
We hope you can join the dozens of volunteers in this yearly effort that generates so much good for the community, for the parish and for the parishioners themselves (think of those clean basements and closets!). It's an effort that we take pride in and hope you can join us next year.
