Choirs at Epiphany

We have two choirs: the Chancel Choir and the St. Nicholas Singers, our youth choir, for young people ages 4-15.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir welcomes all singers, aged sixteen and above. While being able to carry a tune and read a bit of music are important skills, the most important characteristics are a love of music and a sense of fun.

The Chancel Choir sings at the 10 o'clock service on most Sundays between September and June, except the first Sunday of each month. We rehearse Wednesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and at 9:15 a.m. on the Sundays we sing.

Our music spans a wide range, from classical to contemporary, Renaissance motets to spirituals; accompanied to a capella. New music is always rehearsed at least six weeks in advance so everyone is comfortable with it by performance time.

We occasionally take part, either by ourselves or with other area choirs, in evensong services or area choral concerts.

St. Nicholas Singers

The St. Nicholas Singers is our young people's choir. The Singers lead worship the first Sunday of month, from October through June. This includes an Offertory anthem and hymn leadership. The one and two-part music is chosen to appeal to young people as part of the First Sunday Children's worship service.

Membership is open to children ages 4 - 15 and can be on a month-to-month basis.

Rehearsals are held after the 10 am service on the non-singing Sundays: usually from 11:30 am - 12 noon.

For more information on the St. Nicholas Singers, contact their director.
